About Congressional District Boundaries

On January 3, 2013, the 113th Congress was sworn in and began its session. The Census Bureau released the geographies for the new districts based on 2010 Census and Congressional reapportionment/redistricting on January 7, 2013. The HRSA Data Warehouse (HDW) is working to update its reference data with the new geographies. In the interim, the HDW will continue to use the 112th district boundaries to determine the Congressional District associated with an address. This means: (1) states which have new districts and states which have lost districts will appear to have missing information on the HRSA in Your Congressional District fact sheets (as will other Congressional District based reporting); (2) some of the district assignments might not be correct since the new boundaries are likely to be different than they were for the 112th Congress; and (3) the states with at-large districts should not be affected by this change.
